Established in 1994, the Brooklyn-Long Island Alumni Scholarship Fund, Inc. (Scholarship Fund) was established as a 501(c)(3) corporation to be the vehicle through which the efforts of the members of the Brooklyn-Long Island Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. could be  coordinated, as well as more effectively handle the distribution of scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau Counties heading to college.   Through the years, the Scholarship Fund has conducted a very intense application process that led to the handing out of over fifty-thousand dollars in scholarship money.   The Scholarship Fund's signature event, the  Annual Scholarship Ball, has been the venue in which the scholarship recipients have been showcased and honored.
